We want every member of ECWA English Mushin to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. The family of God is one body that spans every generation, ethnic background and life experience. ECWA English Mushin welcomes everyone – from mature disciples looking to be challenged in Bible-based community, to those with no previous religious affiliation.
Becoming a member demonstrates your commitment to Christ and to this church. We want to help you on your journey to live out God’s plan for you!
Membership will help you live out four disciplines essential to your spiritual development:
- Grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ
- Connect in Biblical community
- Serve in your God-given ministry
- Share the message of Jesus Christ
Members have the privilege of participating in quarterly congregational meetings and voting on important issues like the election of elders, acceptance of new members and the annual budget. Membership is required for some volunteer and teaching positions.
We encourage spiritual growth and worship through baptism and giving financially, but these are not requirements for membership.
What to expect
We believe that salvation is not based on what we do, but on our belief in Jesus Christ. At ECWA English Mushin, the Bible is our foundation. We believe it is inerrant, infallible and 100% true. Our What We Teach Booklet explains specifically what ECWA English Mushin teaches about who God is, why He created us, why we need Jesus, what happens when we die, and the role of the church, all based on the Bible.
Got Jesus, I’d like to be a member
Attend a sunday service. Classes are held several times a year and are required for all prospective members. This is a great way to learn about our vision, values, beliefs and our staff. It is also your opportunity to ask questions about the church.
