He is Risen

INTRODUCTION

Resurrection is a big issue. Athenians listened to Paul until his discussions of the issue of resurrection kindled disagreement Acts 17:32.

Resurrection is central to Christianity without which our faith becomes void 1 Cor 15:13-14.

Christianity apart from resurrection  is like any other religion.

 

EVIDENCE OF RESURRECTION

– The Empty tomb,

– Appearance of Jesus after resurrection – it has not been proven otherwise since more than 2000 years ago.

– Willingness of the Apostles to die as witnesses of resurrected Jesus.

– The church that was begotten after resurrection, &

– Changed lives of believers.

 

EVENTS THAT  HAPPENED​ ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION

1. Great Earthquake. Earth must quake because it’s impossible for it to swallow its Maker.
2. Angel Descended.
3. The Angel Rolled Back the Stone.
4. The Angel Sat on the Stone.
5. The Appearance of the Angel to human.
6. The Guards Shook for Fear.

 

Jesus is Indeed Risen! Heaven shall visit you today and cause a panic in the camp of your enemies. Every stone of obstacles in your life is rolled away now, in the name of Jesus!

What makes you a Christian is your belief in Jesus. The question however is: What do you believe in Jesus? You faith must center on these:

– Jesus died for your sin,

– He was buried, and

– He rose again the third day.
